noise... + Out now, first tape release on DWR and first release for Martial God Mask. Only 50, cheap as chips, it's over in the releases section and the order page. + DWR will be having a bit of a sale on the first 5 releases starting this weekend, need to make some space for some new stuff. + Iron Fist Of The Sun is playing in B'ham on 28th Nov., should be a good all-dayer, with Con-Dom, The Grey Wolves, Slogun, Sickness and more. Waking the dead... + Fully aware all has been quiet on the Western front, combination of new job + relocating = grinding halt. However, the good news is things are all in order now and got a few things in the pipeline. + We've just released a re-issue of As The Last Star Falls From Heaven by UK's Darkness... 5 tracks of hellacious UKBM on a limited run of 66 cd-rs. Jump on this as it won't be round for long, heiled by some as one of the top 5 black metal records to come out of these miserable isles. ...and new release out now! + Right, the new split CD-r is now available, launched at this year's Supersonic Festival with permission from the artists. More info is available in the RELEASES section and you can buy it from the ORDER page. Absolutely ecstatic with how it has all come together, go get it! + Supersonic was good fun, good to meet certain people properly and looking forward very much to next year already. + Distro list has changed around a bit, some stuff gone, a couple of bits added. It will be expanded more very soon, got a couple of great releases from Cold Spring in there so go check it. Recent

release coming soon... + All has been a bit quiet on the DWR news front, however we'd like to thank the Capsule girls (http://www.capsule.org.uk) for allowing us to take stuff along to both the Merzbow gig and Boris the week after. Great time was had at both and the opportunity was/is very much appreciated... bring on Supersonic! + Got a new release coming together, it's going to be a split CD-r for Iron Fist Of The Sun and the mighty Scot's Messiah Complex who are absolutely brilliant. Getting the artwork together and waiting on tracks so as soon as things are a bit more clear I'll post more details. Expect it to be nice and harsh! Very excited about it already. Will probably have some kind of bundle price for this and the current Iron Fist Of The Sun release on DWR, although copies of this are running low so get it while it's still there! Got some copies of the recent split cassette by Messiah Complex and Chigaco's Death Factory. It's a great tape which is getting a lot of play-time on the car stereo, well recommended. + We got some distro stuff in but with the aforementioned gigs the stock levels have taken a bit of a battering so it doesn't look particularly bigger than it was before. We're getting some more stuff in though so be sure to keep checking and hopefully it'll appear a bit bigger and fuller soon. Recent

Update... + As some of you may know, to date all DWR stuff has been dealt with by myself only. However, from now on running of the label will be shared between myself and my fiancée Keeley. Main effect of this will be hopefully more frequent releases - some will be joint ventures by the pair of us, some will be done individually but all releases will remain of a high standard, regardless of whichever one of us is behind it. - New releases out now, new site up... + AT LAST! The split 12" by Goddam Ox and Haddonfield, Illinois is now available (go to the ORDER section and pick this up pronto!). It's been a slog and probably has taken longer than it should have (understatement?) but the important thing is it is finally ready, it sounds boss and it's looking swish. Everybody is dead happy with it so now it's a case of selling it like my life depends on it because I sure as hell could do with some money for a holiday. I jest of course, but please get on it as both bands are well worth at least 40mins of your time. + Not only that, but also out now is the Stuntcock and BBBlood split CD-r. Taken a bit of time packaging these up by hand but it was well worth it and the wonderful Bettie Page looks lovely adorning the front, back, disc and insert. In the Order section now, go. + Still got some Iron Fist Of The Sun cd-rs left, there won't be a reprint so if you don't have it, go rectify the situation. In related news "The Power Of September" got a mention in the new year issue of Terrorizer magazine - if you've got a copy look out for Graham Ellis' list of "ones which just missed out" in the albums of the year overview. + The distro looks a little paltry at the moment, will be adding more stuff to it in good time but thought it more important to actually get the first three DWR releases finished and out first. + If you've got your peepers open, you'll notice in the Order section there's an offer on. Buy the first three DWR releases for a set price, and save a few quid than buying them separately. This offer is going to run just over a month, til the end of March. + Gallhammer fans look out - The Sontaran Experiment (Stuntcock + cohorts) will be supporting Gallhammer on the forthcoming UK tour. I'll be at the B'ham date with Paul and co. so bring some skulls to spend! + Finally, been to a few gigs lately so here's what I thought - Discharge were awesome, thoroughly enjoyed them but evidently it's not punk to applaud anymore; MOSS were absolutely killer at the Custard Factory, total slo-mo oppression - if you didn't see them you lose, new album is going to crush everything; Baroness were alright but Kylesa walked all over them on the night, new Baroness album is pretty rubbish; Earth were AMAZING, even better than when I saw them two years ago and Sir Richard Bishop was stunning too, well worth venturing out in the cold for. - Updates... + Well an update to deadwoodrecordings.co.uk is long overdue. Quite a bit has happened since I first the website up, but unfortunately most news hasn't made it any further than Myspace. All shall be rectified from here on in. + First things first, there have been numerous delays to DWR001. It is nearly ready though and will be available very soon. The actual records are here, ready and waiting, just need to get the final bits sorted for it! More information about that can be found in the RELEASES section. + Secondly, Iron Fist Of The Sun's "The Power Of September" (DWR002) is out and selling well, snap it up before it's gone. A review of it can be found on http://www.judaskissmagazine.co.uk courtesy of Simon Collins. + Third, over the summer arrangements have been made for deadwoodrecordings to release a split cd-r by Stuntcock and BBBlood. Check the RELEASES page for more info, should be ready rather soon all being well. + Got a few distro items together for sale, will hopefully get some more stuff in soon. + Sadly Iapetus Recordings has called it a day now, but the good news is Jim isn't giving up on labels completely.
